In Parallels, no matter what type of networking I use I cannot see the other computers in my workgroup. If I boot to boot camp, all is well and working correctly. I can use any number of settings and none of them work. Bridged, shared, host only, etc. I can turn off all firewalls and it makes no difference. I can ping the other PC, but I can't see it in Windows. I search for it, type its IP into Explorer and it is not there. What do I have to do to see my networked computers?
Same Here... No Replys! I have the same issue.. Really need the Parallel to show workgroup computers for file and print sharing! Someone please respond.
Solution to missing computers in windows workgroup All you have to do, is to go to the Devices pull down menu from the top Parallels menu bar, go to Network 1, and change the settings from Shared Networking to Bridged Networking==>Default Adapter. http://social.answers.microsoft.com...k/thread/d971b40c-a5a9-4c33-9b7a-7a09bf27686c
IvanShim's Method Works IvanShim's method does work but (restarting is important too), you may need to go into your network connections after following his steps and continue to setup your network as you would on a new PC. I suspect his steps might work for some users without this final setup but, in our case specifically, after his process I had to connect to our server (found in the Network tab) and map network drives. I hope that helps somebody.
Sorry for the Necro but just wanted say a huge thank you to IvanShim and his help with this, we've been going potty for the last 2 hours trying to fix this issue.
