So I've been running Parallels in my osx for about 5 weeks now, and it's doing this thing, where it is saving .exe, .cmd, and .pif files in my mac home folder automatically about every 5 seconds. I have been just deleting them, but i'm getting tired of doing that. has anyone experienced this or know what the problem may be? examples of the file names are: abcltq.exe, abue.exe, adqy.exe. aemb.cmd, etc., etc.

    thanks for any help.

Mac home folder is a shared one with virtual machine (generally). Judging from the fact that Parallels does not do such a thing and from the file names I would suggest you to check your Windows for viruses. You can try Parallels Internet Security if it is Parallels 4.0 that you have, or some free programs like Dr. Web's Cureit.
