I'm basically a Mac person and need help setting up the source PC to connect via my home network so that I can see the entire C: drive instead of only the SharedDocs folder. In the source PC, if I select "view network connections," I see 2 folders named "SharedDocs" and "My Documents." How do I go about making the entire C: drive available to the network so that I can see it in my Macs network window? I used the Network Setup wizard to create the network and saw no way to make the entire C drive available so that I could migrate all of my files to the new VM on the Mac. I'm using Parallels 4.0 (with Win XP installed) and my Mac is a MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.5 Leopard. The source PC is running Windows XP Pro. The network is a hard wired ethernet network using a D-Link router. Two Macs on the network can see each other with no problem. Can any PC savvy users help out, please?
If your Windows machine is in the same network then you could share C: drive in the following way -- right-click C: drive -> Properties -> Sharing tab -> "Just enable file sharing" option -> check "Share this folder on the network" box -> specify desired share name -> if you want to allow changing the contents of this folder over the network check "Allow network users to change my files" -> click OK
