Running a MacBook Pro 15" (late 2008) with 10.5.7 Installed Parallels 3, build 5638 and can't get it to work. Every time I go to set up a new machine (I've tried multiple times with both an iso and install cd) the machine freezes and I have to restart my computer. Anybody else experiencing this?
I would suggest to create a ticket on that in our support queue so that we would be able to investigate it more closely. But the first thing I would check is that there is enough memory, i.e. check how much do you assing to the virtual machine and how much is on the Mac side total.
5638 Build Freezes upon Opening I've had it with updates. This is the third update to incorrectly install. I have a Mac Pro Xeon with a Dedicated Hard drive for boot camp. I'm running OS X.5.7 with 16 gigs of fully-buffered RAM. How can I get Parallels to function? I updated to 5638 without any incident until opening Parallels. Then I get a beach ball and not other activity past the opening start panel. Moreover, it won't force-quit. I love Parallels, but I do not love it when it does not work after it was working. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled, etc...same thing.
Hello NathanF, Please try to reinstall Paralells Desktop (use the same installtion package to uninstall Parallels Desktop) -> after that please restart Mac-> install Parallels Desktop using teh same package After that start your Virtual Machine -> install Parallels Tools In case the issue persists please create the ticket for Support Department (it is free) http://www.parallels.com/support/desktop/
