Hi, I'm running Parallels 3 and I can't seem to get URL's that I click on in Outlook (on Windows) to open in OS X anymore. I do have my Preferences->General->Shared Web Applications -> Web Pages set to "Open in Mac OS X" but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm running build 5608 (June 9, 2008) Cory
Please follow the steps listed to effectively solve the issue. 1. Please download the latest build from the link provided below. 2. Here is the link : http://kb.parallels.com/en/5802 3. Download the appropriate file and install it. 4. After that you will have the latest build installed. After updating check if the option works.
I updated to the newest release: Build 5626 November 5, 2008 however, it still does not work. Any other suggestions? Cory
You can uninstall the application and then try to reinstall Parallels using the same downloaded file. This will restore the default options.
I assume I should save a snapshot for my windows installation first? Any guidelines for how to do that? I want to make sure I don't lose any data.
The uninstallation process will not affect any Windows files. So, you may go ahead and choose uninstall option from the download menu and after it is uninstalled, please choose Install option from the same file. If you need to back up the files before this process, then please go to Documents/Parallels and copy all the files inside the Parallels folder and paste it in an external drive. Thank you.
