My name is Jason Ford and I would really appreciate some advice.

I just upgraded to Parallels Desktop 4.0 for the Mac after using 3.0 for about a year. All seemed to go well with the upgrade until I tried to open Internet Explorer and Firefox and the browsers told me that I had no internet connection :(

When I first installed version 3.0, Parallels Desktop automatically linked to the internet connection on my iMac and I was able to immediately start using both IE and Firefox :)

Now that I have version 4.0 installed ( and cannot revert back ), Parallels Desktop does not seem to be connecting to the internet connection on my iMac.

I would really appreciate your help on this matter as soon as possible, as I need to urgently be able to view my websites in IE and Firefox for cross browser compatibility tests.

I look forward to some assistance :)

    Best Regards

    hi jaford14er,
first of all, try switching to Bridged Ethernet (start Parallels Desktop > launch VM > Configuration > Network Adapter).
If this did not help, please follow troubleshooting KB article at http://kb.parallels.com/en/5664.
