Hi, since I upgraded to parallels 4, my full screen resolution keeps changing to 1440 x 826 (leaving black bars on top and bottom) after I go into coherence mode and switch back to full screen mode. My intended resolution is 1440 x 900. If I go into my screen resolution and change it back to 1440 x 900 it will be fine until I switch back and forth between coherence mode again.

I'm also having another issue with my keys. My case will suddenly turn to caps (even though my caps lock is off). I'm not sure if this is a sticky keys issue or what.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

Both problems are related to Parallels Tools,
Try to uninstall antivirus and reinstall Parallels Tools

I was using McAfee anti-virus which I uninstalled. I then uninstalled parallels tools and reinstalled parallels tools. I did not reinstall McAffee and was NOT able to resolve the issue. Your help is much appreciated!

What can you see under mouse device, and what mouse are you suing?

I've used two different mouse brands and experienced the issue. One is a two button IBM optical mouse with a scroll wheel and the other is a logitech two button optical mouse with scroll wheel.

Under mouse device I see "USB 3D mouse."

    Hello,

Please, right-click on the USB 3D mouse device in the list and choose Update driver.
Select Do not search the Internet, Install from a specific location, Don't search.
In the Select the device driver choose Parallels Mouse Synchronisation device.
    Install the driver and reboot.

My mac lists USB 3D Mouse but parallels lists Parallels Mouse Synchronisation. I tried updating the driver anyways and restarting and that did not solve the issue.

A few more pieces of information--when I restart, the keyboard and mouse issue get resolved for a while. It almost seems like I'm hitting a certain key combination to start having this issue (keys turn to caps, and mouse highlights everything when I click almost like the shift key is constantly held down).

The screen resolution happens all the time regardless of restarting.

    Thanks,
    John
