Ok This is a very strange issue. I am using logmein to login to my Macbook Pro in the office. I am using logmein to access the OS X 10.5.4 environment. I am then starting up parallels to login to my PC. However I cannot use the shift key which I need to do in order to enter my password so I cannot log in!!!

Is there a workaround/update to fix this?

Did you ever find a solution?

I upgraded to the latest release and when using logmein to my apple mac book pro then launching parallels and windows xp, the shift key doesn' work.

    Hello,

You can try to download and install LogMeIn directly in Windows, so, you should be able to use Shift
Just open LogMeIn.com in Windows browser, login under your account and add Windows computer to it.

    1. How am I supposed to install Logmein if I cannot enter my password to login? (I actually went to the office the next day and did this however it is not a good workaround).

    2. What do I do if Parallels is closed or Freezes and I want to troubleshoot?

This worked fine in the old version. What has changed in the new version of parallels that would cause this?

    Hi, Shurafa

There is an option in Logmein to reboot remotely in case the machine is frozen.
As for Shift performance - please, make sure you have the latest build of Parallels Desktop installed:
click on Help in top menu - Check for updates.
