Please note that this update will fail if Parallels Desktop.app is not in /Applications.

The updater will also delete the file it downloaded upon such failure.

To work around this I copied the file the updater downloaded when I was prompted for my password. I then opened this file and found 2 scripts. Reading these told me what to copy where and that I needed to quit Parallels before copying the files.

I've found no information letting users know about this update. Or what to do if they have, like I have, moved Parallels Desktop.app into a subfolder off /Applications, like, say, /Parallels 4.3810 .

This would be the time when I'm glad I'm use to working around Windows quirks.
