When I purchased Parallels 3 (April 08) I had no problem populating my Mac applications, but in June after a push-down update I never again was able to do it.

I'm using a MacBook Pro (2gb RAM), Leopard, Safari 3.2.1, Windows XP (SP2), Parallels 5584 (yes, I did update to the 5600, but it didn't work either, so I returned to this version which is the one is used to work properly).

Populate works only for Windows Applications, not for Mac. The "shared folder" is empty (I deleted it several times and reinstalled parallels following a recommendation on another website), still doesn't populate Mac.

I reinstalled parallel tools several times, rolled back to older versions of parallels, made sure that all the "share" drives and folders are checked, even completely uninstalled and reinstalled parallels and windows, to no avail. No shared application in my Start Menu either.

    Can anyone help? Thanks

PS: I don't have and never had a boot camp partition.

I guess, you have antivirus, which blocks Mac applications to be populated on Windows side

Yes, I'm using IAntivirus on the Mac side; nothing now in the windows side. I disactivated the antivirus to populate, but still didn't do it. Should I remove it completely or reinstall Parallels again? Thanks

    Hello, gypsytan,

yes, please, reinstall Parallels Desktop as suggested in the article:

    http://kb.parallels.com/4790

and install the latest build of Parallels Desktop 3 - 5626, you can get it from

    http://kb.parallels.com/5802

Please, make sure, that Mac antivirus is off during the whole process.
It is better, even to remove it.
