Using Windows 2000 on my MacBook, I cannot figure out how to install Parallels Tools on beta 3106. I tried clicking "cntrl", "alt" keys to get me back to Parallels from Win2000, but it doesn't let me get out of Windows. What do I need to do to install Parallels Tools in beta 3106?

I still need help with this problem. Perhaps I should not have tried this beta.

    It works perectly on mine

I have installed this beta and it works perfectly. After I Loaded windows XP for the first it automatically detected that the new version of the parallels tool should be installed. In your case it is obvious that this didn't happen(maybe it is a windows 2000 issue). I don't have a solution right now, but will let you know if I come across anything.

Thanks. Build 1970 worked perfectly for me since it was released. The main reason that I tried the newest beta was for the "new" coherence feature.

    from 1970 to 3106 - problem w/ Win 2000

I've been using Win 2000 with Build 1970 without problems (mcbookpro, 2 g ram).

today I tried to launch Build 3106 (for Coherence...), it doesnt work at all for me w/ W 2000 : when it launches a message says "Fatal error in virtual machine monitor".

Uninstalled and re installed to no avail.
Then I tried w/ XP, and it launches perfectly.
BUT I cannot access to my files ( even Avast anti virus disappeared) that shows on W 2000 ?

note: I have never installed Boot Camp

How can I get my files and applications that work with Win 2000 and that are in the machine ? (when I go to C its empty ....),

and if anyone have build 3106 working w/ Win 2000, plse advise as Im not extatic about XP
    thks, JP
