With the last couple of beta versions (3036 and 3094 I believe?) I've noticed that certain web sites cause problems with Coherence, and they seem to be those that use Java or call a Java applet. When logged into a java-based site while in Coherence mode, if I move the IE window it displays the Windows desktop beneath rather than my OSX desktop, and the application window itself cuts off wherever moved beyond the boundaries of that visible desktop (difficult to explain this one!)

One of the sites I use frequently in the VM (because it only works with IE) is Egg Money Manager, which launches a separate Java browser when you go through to any of your accounts with companies other than Egg. This browser also seems to launch within the window space of the parent (IE) window, and if moved it is only visible within that space.

I'll try to get a screen shot of it happening, but I'm not sure it will work based on previous experience with Parallels and screen captures.

Love the release and new functionality, just wanted to let you know of the (slight) issue.

    Thanks,

    Tom

The 'grass' background is my OSX desktop, the blue 'XP' is my VM desktop background. You can see the browser window has moved 'within' the Windows desktop area.

Just to confirm, this still occurs in Beta 3 (3106).

On a separate note, the fix for 'rounded' windows is excellent - looks a lot better.

    Cheers,

    Tom,

Can you point me to some site other than Egg Money Manager that has this issue in Coherence mode? I can't reproduce this yet with IE6(XP SP2) & latest Sun Java plugin.
By the way, are you using Maxthon or IE? What JVM are you using?

    Hi,

This was happening with Maxthon (which is just a shell around IE as I understand it), but to be sure I've just tried with IE6 (also XP SP2) and got the same result. It only does this when logged in to Egg Money Manager, just visiting the login page won't do it. (Incidentally as soon as you log out - even with the window still open - the issue no longer occurs.)

The only other thing I could think of that calls Java was to connect to a server running Azureus inside my network. Strangely when I did this it prompted me to install Java, and then loaded 1.4.2_11 (Sun). I couldn't make the issue occur with the Azureus Java UI running in Maxthon.

There must be something strange and prioprietary about Egg Money Manager. It's one of the reasons I use Parallels actually because EMM will only work in IE6.

Anything else I can try or further info I can provide?

    Thanks,

    Tom
