Installing Tools freezes

I've got Tools installed from Bootcamp, but someone told me that in order to use Coherence, I need to re-install Tools with that VM. The thing is, I can't. It just says Installing...tools in the menu but nothing ever happens. I sure would like to use Coherence.

But since this forum "actually isn't the right place" for "general questions - how to," maybe the forum's name should be changed.
