I'm trying to reinstall everything after doing a clean and install to wipe out a virus I got on the Windows side. (Thanks MicroSoft!)
Problem is, Parallels won't recognize the Windows boot disc when its in the DVD drive.
Running Mac OS 10.4.8 on a MacBook Pro 17".
It was working before, but can't figure why it won't now.

    .
There is a Mac technical forum. You will no doubt receive more help if you post there.

Set the boot order to CD-ROM first...

I have the same problem. Had 4 happy months with Build 1848, then XP wouldn't start up, so I upgraded(?) to Build 1970 & tried to re-install XP. Problem: Parallels Installer Assistant can't see XP CD. I created a .ISO image of the XP CD, pointed the Installer to it, still can't see it.
I'm thinking of reverting to Build 1848.

    Something similar

I was able to do a clean install of XP - but now Windows will not recognise my Office installation disk. The disk appears on the mac desktop.

OK - my issue is fixed.. I had somehow disconnected the drive.
