bootcamp and parallels

    i have bootcamp installed on my imac. everything is up and running pretty well. if i buy paraelles will i need to install another copy of win XP? are there two versions on one machine one in para and one in bootcamp? do you need to install all windows programs twice or does para work off the C drive

    If you buy the currently shipping version of Parallels, you will need to install XP again. (And also install your applications again).

    There is a beta version of Parallels that enables you to use the bootcamp partition as your virtual machine. So in Beta, you only need one installation of XP (and your applications).

    If you are a new user, you might be better off waiting a month or so until the Beta becomes an official (stable) release.
