I use a sign making software that requires a USB dongle. I just installed XP Pro as my guest OS and installed my software, but it will not recognize the hardware key. Please help!
You might post what error you are getting, and if the error is coming from Parallels, your guest OS, or your application. You might also post your procedure you are using to try to get it working. Things like that help in figuring out what is going on.
I have a program (structural analysis software) that requires the use of USB dongle. The first time I tried plugging in the dongle and launching the program, it did not work. I almost immediately unplugged the dongle and plugged it back it and this time it worked. It has worked ever since. If you have tried it multiple times with no luck, some thoughts... 1) Do you have Autoconnect turned on in the USB settings in Parallels virtual machine's configuration? 2) What type of Mac are you running? I ask this because I have encountered some weird USB stuff on my dad's new MBP with a Core 2 Duo that don't happen on my MBP with a Core Duo. I don't know if those problems extend to my software that requires a USB dongle or not as I have yet to try that on his computer.
