Has anyone successfully connected a Garmin Edge 305 via the USB port? I have failed miserably! I can install the Garmin drivers with no problem.

The Windows XP operating system dings when I connect the GPS and it show up as a "vendor specific 091e:003" device in the Parallels USB device list; however, Windows does not see it as a Garmin device, doesn't use the Garmin drivers and lists it as an Unknown USB Device in the Windows Device Manager. The whole shebang works fine on a Dell Laptop.

I've tried the suggestion in one thread to look for Apple drivers in Terminal, but see no new ones when the GPS is connected. I'm running a MacBook Pro C2D machine.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I have exactly the same problem as you. Mapsource will not find the device after many attemps.
Tried a search and just found info on serial Garmin connections.

Can anyone help with this problem
