Hey all, I'm noticing that my VM is hanging on a svchost.exe process specifically for netsvcs. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what I might be able to do to correct it. This seems to be happening whenever I try to use any program to access the network, therefore I assume that I should be able to disable the network adapter, and it should be fine. Of course, this also means I lose a large degree of functionality when using Parallels. Any help would be appreciated. PS: Yes, Parallel Tools are installed. XP SP2 on a 15GB Static disk.
As I have said in the previous post, it is recommended to try the same in Connection Sharing mode. Please, 1. Shut down your Windows (by clicking Start->Shut Down in guest OS). 2. Click Edit in VM main Window. 3. Select Network Adapter in the left tab and select "Connection Sharing" radiobutton in the right one. 4. Click OK. 5. Click Save. 6. Power on the VM and check if things get better. Best regards, Tim
