internet connection breaks intermitenly after a few moments on macbook pro w/ wireles

I have a new core 2 duo macbook pro, running windows xp sp2 in parallels and it works great except the internet connection seems to give out sometimes. If I pop open the windows control panel and disable / reenable the network connection it comes back for a few moments and then dies again. I have not tried this with a wired connection, only wireless. Also restarting windows works too. I am unclear if this is a windows issue, a 2wire modem issue, or a parallels issue. Could someone please offer some advice on how to fix this?

 

It is recommended to try the same in Connection Sharing mode. Please,

1. Shut down your Windows (by clicking Start->Shut Down in guest OS).
2. Click Edit in VM main Window.
3. Select Network Adapter in the left tab and select "Connection Sharing" radiobutton in the right one.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Save.
6. Power on the VM and check if things get better.
