When I bring my MacPro (2.66GHz, 4GB RAM) out of sleep, my Vista VM appears dead. No mouse/keyboard response at all, and the window is totally black. The only cure is to reboot the VM.
Try Changing the Default Power Management Settings syd... I saw this too on my MBP. It looks to be related to Vista's Sleep mode. The default power management setting in Vista puts it into sleep mode if there is no activity for 1 hour. I wasn't about to wait for an hour, so I changed it to a minute to verify. Sure enough, black screen in 1 minute. I've changed the default to Never, which should fix it. I then put the MBP to sleep to make sure Vista behaved when the MBP came out of sleep, ans all appears good. Hope this helps. RB
