Hi there, Have only had this problem since upgrading to v.1940. Using guest of XP Pro SP2 (all updates applied). If I leave the system in full screen mode and with a program running (like Outlook Express 6, but it can be any one app) and if I leave the computer for say 15 minutes, when I come back all I see is a black screen with a white underscore in the top left hand corner of the screen. However, on one occasion, the screen was not black but had slim black and yellow alternating vertical lines all across the screen. As I say, this happened only once. All other times, and this is happening quite regularly now, it has been a black screen. Any ideas what's happening here? If I go away and leave it with no application running then the Windows screen saver kicks in as it should. With an application running this does not occur, it just goes to black with white underscore. I'm using a iMac Intel Duo Core with 1 GB RAM and a NetGear router on Tiger 10.4.8. No new Mac updates have been installed since upgrading to 1940. TIA. Lynn
I am a v newbie,[1 week with first imac and xp] had the same problem and I re-installed the VM tools and it seemed to solve the problem. HTH
Turn off powersaving in Windows control panel, you are telling the "monitor" to sleep in 15 minutes of inactivity.
