First off, what a great program! Ok, I installed XP on my MacBookPro and decided to install Bonjour on the XP side so that I could print from XP via my AirPort Express. Everything works/prints just fine through XP. The problem is that I can no longer print from OS X. Is this related to my install on Bonlour on XP? Being that I rarely print from XP, its way more important for me to be able to print through OS X. What can I do? Thank you for your time!
Hi Kaliber35 Try the reversal of your printer set up, ie. Install Bonjour through the Mac (use Bonjour for Mac) and share your printer with the XP. Did you use Bonjour for Windows when setting up the XP printer? In the print and fax preference box, (in the System Preferences) click share printer with other computers. This should make the Mac the prodominant operating system for the printer. All the best, LV69.
How do you install Bonjour for Mac? Isn't it already enabled? I've installed it in xp as well and enabled both windows and the mac to share a printer and it won't. The part that is weird is that when I was running parallels as a trial version before I bought it, bonjour worked fine.
You need to: Install the printer on the Mac. Share the printer (in OSX). Network the Mac and VM so they can see each other on the network. Install Bonjour for Windows. Then it should work.
about the networking part So far as I know, I've done that. The only thing I'm not sure about is the networking. They are both communicate with my wireless network, so is there something else I need to do?
