I am unable to run PeachTree 2007 and get the message "PeachTree has encountered a serious error". The offending DLL is "pch_stlport_vc71.dll". I am completely unable to run PeachTree. Note that PeachTree 2005 worked just fine in Parallels.

I am running the latest beta version of Parallels. I have the latest MS patches/updates, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Ummm... Never run production on beta hardware or software??

You say Peachtree worked fine in Parallels, but doesn't work in Parallels? If you mean it worked in the release version, but not the beta, then you might want to ge back to the release version (you DID keep a copy, right?). Uninstall using the supplied uninstaller, then install the release version, restore your last good backup of your .hdd, and see if it works. If it does, test beta software on copies and run production on released versions.

I am saying that PeachTree 2005 works fine in Parallels, but Peachtree 2007 does not. I have tried everything, including going back to previous release versions of Parallels. Of course I save the different revisions! :) I suspect this offending DLL that PeachTree uses (maybe a low level Visual C call to the OS) is causing the problem, but I have no idea. I have called PeachTree about this, and they are aware that this is a problem, but I was hoping that Parallels could talk to Sage Software and get this resolved.
