Using the Parallels tools, I have chosen a folder in the Mac OS to be specified as a shared folder. However, I can't find that folder in 'My Network Places' in Windows as the instructions say I should be able to. I can't even find the 'Parallels Shared Folder's Folder that the instructions say should be there under 'My Network Places'.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Did you set up the shared folder in the Guest Setup, (screen just prior to powering up VM)?

Ok, when i first start into this round of betas, I had similar issue, here is what i had to do

    1. Manual uninstall of Parallel Tool in XP
    2. Shut Down VM
    3. in Guest Setup, delete the shared folder definition
    4. close Parallels
    5. restart Parallels
    6. under Guest Setup, re-define the shared folder
    7. start VM
    8. install Parallel Tools

I have seen other suggestions where you create a new Guest and point it to the Current .HDD file

You don't specify which OS you're using, XP or Vista. I've had no problem in XP, however Vista does not show up

So do I need to install the Parallels tools on the VM also?

Got it, thanks. It was user error... However in somewhat of my defense, the instructions in the book aren't exactly the most clear.

    Thanks everyone!
