I'm trying to use Parallels RC2 on my iMac C2D. I can install it fine and set up the virtual machine, but whenever I actually try to run the virtual machine, I get a kernel panic. What am I doing wrong? Wasn't a patch just released so that it would work with the new iMacs? I followed the quick setup instructions exactly. I'm sorry, I know this has likely been resolved, but I must be doing something wrong here that I'm not aware of.
Before you try starting a VM, do About Parallels in the Parallels menu and verify that you are, in fact, running the release candidate. The build number should be 1922.
I have the same problem. As soon as start the emply VM I either get a kernal panic or the error "Unable to communicate with hypervisor!" pops up. I have build 1848. How do I get the newer build?
