I have had Parallels Desktop for Mac installed for about a month-and-a-half and I'm running XP with no problems. Until today. I had a power outage while I was using XP. That caused me problems that I got around eventually. But later, as I was downloading a piece of software, Parallels Desktop froze and my only choice was to force quit. At the time, I was in full screen mode. When I restarted, it came up in console mode, but it is covering my entire screen and there is no way to reduce it. I hit full screen mode and it switches to that, but going to console mode does nothing. As a result, it's essentially like I'm using Boot Camp (though I realize I'm not). I can move the window a bit while it's on console mode, but I am using a 20-inch Core Duo iMac and there isn't enough room for me to move it up enough to grab the bottom of the window and resize that way. Does anyone have any suggestions? FYI, I have 10.4.8 with 2 GB of RAM Kevin
Log into the XP window, and resize your Windows desktop to a lower resolution. That should, in turn, resize the Parallels window. You may have to put XP back to full screen mode and then back to windowed mode, but your Parallels window should be smaller that way.
