    Hey everyone-
    I am a newbie to Parallels. Never used it before, never anything. I just bought the new Mac Pro and I want to put Windows on the machine. I tried following the setup guide that came with the Parallels software but it was way too complicated for me to understand. I need HELP! I basically need a simple easy explanation on how to use this program so I can get Windows up and running ASAP. I need it to use Maya on the Windows side. Please help me! If you can be as simple as possibl ein your explanations I would really appreciate it. Any steps you can provide me in detail would be great. Thanks so much!

    The installation is fairly straight forward.
    1. Install Parallels on your Mac Pro like any other Mac Applications.
    2. Install Windows just the way you normally install Windows.
    3. Type your Serial Keys;
    4. Follow the screen prompts.
    Warning: Do not attempt to surf the net thinking that it's safe to do so. Practice SAFE Windows:
    Install all the usual crap that Windows users are accustomed to: AntiVirus;SpyWare;FireWall Protection. Windows is equally unsafe on the Mac. Remember: you are outside the Mac.
    I have tried it and I could not stop the PopUps fast enough to the point that I had to Trash my Parallels installation and rebuild it.
    Otherwise, Windows runs much faster than my native Compaq PC. It's very smooth and clean.
    The ONLY problem that I am having right is that I cannot figure out why Treo700P will not synch through Parallels. I have written to Parallels and they have never written back even though I have a paid-for license...
    I hope that helps...
