    Hi,
I'm on a corpt network and they IT Admin have a external drive that contains a Ghost of their SOP. All I need to do is be able to boot from it and I would eb able to install it. I'm runnign build 1910 and the drives show up in the "My Computer" after I select them from the Devices menu. (Yes I have auto-connect switched on in the config.)

Normally the tech guys will simply hold F12 when starting up or wrst case fiddle with the BIOS. But neither are options as I understand it.

Any help would be great. I have several staff I want to chaneg over from Stinkpads to Macs!

Parallels can't boot from USB yet as far as I know. It would have to be supported in their BIOS before you could get it to work.

You might try creating an image of the drive under OSX and attaching it as a CD to your VM and see if it boots.

Yeah Trouble is it's a 250GB extrenal drive and I've only got a 80GB drive on the MAC. There is a second smaller Image at 90GB (Only 5Gb Used) But each time I try to create an image of it I can't get it to compress - it still wants to make it 90Gb! Thanks agian for your help guys.
