VT-X always off on Mac Pro, even after sleeping

I have build 1908 installed on a Mac Pro with the latest firmware, the first build that I've tried to actually use, and it complains every time I start the VM that VT-X is off and I need to sleep my Mac.

So, I put the Mac to sleep, wake it up, and try again, and I get the same error.

Could it be that the ATTO UL5D SCSI PCIe card is preventing my Mac from going into a deep enough sleep to workaround this firmware issue?

    Thanks,
    -Mike

Make sure you are REALLY putting the Mac to sleep. Go to Apple Menu > Sleep. Let the Mac go to sleep for 10 seconds. Make sure you hear the hard drive spin down and there is nothing on the screen. THEN wake your Mac up.

I found that I wasn't waiting long enough. The screen would go blank and I thought that was sleeping. It turns out that I wasn't waiting long enough for the processors to "sleep." Hope this helps.

I tried again and waited a full 30 seconds after the drives spun down and the monitors went blank - still the same problem.
