I'm getting the message every time I try to install XP Pro SP2 onto my MacBook. All of hte settings for the CD/DVD ROM are correct, and I even took an image of the CD and tried to use the image but still get the same error. I also tried each of the three different boot orders. Any ideas what is wrong?

Does the CD/DVD screen in the Config Edit look like this?

Which version of Parallels are you using?

It says I'm using Build 1848. The config menu does not look remotely like that. It seems like the normal edit window, and I've double checked all the settings.

The guide suggests connecting the CD to 0:1. It works better with the CD connected to 0:0 and the hdd connected to 0:1 (unless they've fixed it).

Then after the install, connect the hdd to 0:0 and the CD to 1:0 for normal operation.
