Hi, I have been using Parallels on my MBP for ages now and it has worked great. I am about to move to a Mac Pro. Can I just reinstall Parallels and take my disk image or do I have to start with a clean install of Window as well? Best wishes Michael
I had Parallels installed on my Macbook and simply used the Apple Migration Utility to move everything from the MacBook to the MacPRO. Then I applied the new Update to the version of Parallels that was moved from the MacBook to the MacPRO.. Worked like a charm... no problems at all. Parallels came up running just fine. Then I used the Parallels Image tool to create a larger virtual disk. I had already installed windows, applications, etc but wanted to make the volume larger since I was now running on a much larger Hard Drive. This also worked quite well and all the previously installed system and apps worked fun after enlarging the virtual hard drive. BTW, the Virtual Hard Drive is located in User/Name/Library/Parallels Harley
