I have spent two days trying to install Windows XP with no success. Parallels installed perfectly, and then I followed the "Quick Start Guide" to the letter. 99% of the time I get the message "No boot device available. Press enter to continue." On occasion, I get a message that some file or another is corrupted. The Windows disk is a brand new full install version purchased from Best Buy. The XP disk boots perfectly in a PC. My CD/DVD drive appears to function perfectly for all other applications. What on earth should I do to fix this problem?

An additional note: Just tried to install my old copy of XP Pro SP1 and it does indeed boot every time. However, I continue to receive corrupted file error messages. None of the messages are the same.

    Someone has to know this....

How do you get a Windows " Enter" command into the VM window in order to continue loading Windows....and when running the VM with Windows XP Home (for me, anyway) Running new Core 2 Duo iMac.

Have both the standard iMac keyboard and a Kensington wireless desktop keyboard.

    Thanks,

Update: I clicked in the XP install window requesting I input "Enter" to begin install... clicking inside changed the input to the window, and by hitting the numeric keypad "Enter" key, I was off and running. Rest of the install went smooth and I'm up and running.

Use version 1884...works with my Core 2 Duo iMac, where 1848 would not.
