I have spent two days trying to install Windows XP with no success. Parallels installed perfectly, and then I followed the "Quick Start Guide" to the letter. 99% of the time I get the message "No boot device available. Press enter to continue." On occasion, I get a message that some file or another is corrupted. The Windows disk is a brand new full install version purchased from Best Buy. The XP disk boots perfectly in a PC. My CD/DVD drive appears to function perfectly for all other applications. What on earth should I do to fix this problem?
An additional note: Just tried to install my old copy of XP Pro SP1 and it does indeed boot every time. However, I continue to receive corrupted file error messages. None of the messages are the same.
