When I start up Parallels i recieve an error:

"Parallels Desktop is unable to operate properly since it cannot communicate with one of its drivers. Try to restart the application to overcome this issue. If restart doesn't help, re-install Parallels Desktop. Note that Parallels drivers require a short time to be properly started and initialized. So you may need to wait a minute before trying to launch the application."

I've tried disonnecting peripherals, closing all programs, restarting, etc. and I still can't even get parallels desktop to launch, much less get into XP. Anybody else have this problem? Have any ideas other than starting from scratch?

    still not working

I restarted my computer and waited a little bit, but i still get the same error. I'd hate to have to reinstall parallels and have to reinstall XP and all of it's settings.

I don't think I changed any driver / device settings from the time I installed parallels to the time it started screwing up....

    hmmm...

So, I reinstalled parallels and everything seems to be running fine. I wonder why this happened tho...any ideas? (sorry to bump the subject, but i'm curious)
