    Hi,

I'm having a problem with Parallels (both in the last release version and the current beta) in the following configuration:

    -- MacBook Pro
    -- External LCD monitor connected
-- Main Mac desktop (menu bar) is on the *internal* monitor
-- Parallels is running Windows XP in fullscreen mode on the *external* monitor
    -- Parallels Tools installed

Under this setup, when I mouse over items in Parallels, I don't get mouseover feedback, and actions that are supposed to happen on mouseover (e.g. autoshowing the task bar) don't work. Everything else (mouse clicks, typing, etc.) works fine.

If my main Mac desktop is set to display on the external monitor, or if I run Parallels in fullscreen on the internal monitor, the problem goes away.

    Has anyone else seen this?

    Thanks,

    nj

Sorry I can't help you - on my MacBook, I am trying to have the Parallels video driver make the windows session in Parallels span 2 monitors - currently it only spans one, like your experience.

    Same Here

Same exact issues here with the new beta (1862) on a MacBook Pro with 2GB RAM. Otherwise, performance of WinXP Pro is better than on a regular PC. The lack of hover, though, makes development in Visual Studio and general testing of web pages a very difficult proposition. Running in Windowed mode is not ideal either because of the lost screen space. I also don't want to run my Mac's Menu bar and Dock on a second monitor just to get fullscreen hover functionality in the guest OS. If there's anything I would really like for this Beta when it goes live would be for this one issue to be fixed. Otherwise, this is a truly incredible product that has increased my productivity immensely and saves so much time over having to reboot with Bootcamp.
