Just wondering if I'm the only seeing these... it appears that there are tracking files? Anyone find a solution for one central 'My Documents' using SAMBA that is secure yet flexible for floating IP addresses (read: laptop)? I've seen a few things: Bonjour, Samba.. but they all seem to open oneself up to the world or lack suitability in the laptop world. Assume, I'm using 'bridged' networking. Can't wait for the ideas.
Here is a partial solution: http://www.microdeveloper.com/html/parallels/share_howto/ It still uses SMB, but configures the firewall to limit SMB access to the Parallels XP side. The examples use a fixed drive letter but 'My Documents' can still be pointed to the mapped drive.
