Hi. I'm a new member, but have been using Parallels Workstation for Mac since Beta2 -- and in most instances quite successfully. Unfortunately, I recently had to do a reinstall on my Mac, after backing up everything in my home folder. Since the reinstall, Parallels won't boot XP. It will boot a .fdd image bootable floopy, or the XP install CD, but when I try to boot the .hdd image XP is installed in, it just reverts back to the Parallels control window. There are NO boot messages or error messages displayed. I have searched the forums, and found a posting by "blackmonday" that looks like the same issue, however there hasn't been any response to their enquiry. Anyone have any ideas please? P.S., I did have other backups of my XP install, but Parallels had been so stable, and disk space so short, I deleted them. Stupid mistake. Thank you.
I was hoping someone would have some ideas as to what to how I could get my Windows XP session active again, or why I can't access the .hdd files. I would appreciate any assistance, so as to avoid doing a full reinstall of XP and other software. Thank you in advance. Peter.
