Tipp: How to set large screen resolutions up to 1600x1200 in Suse 10

    Greetings,

I have Parallels up with Suse 10.0 including the YOU patches. It is working so far,
including crypto devices and network. Here is a little cookbook how to get
resolutions bigger than the 1024x768 that it supports out of the box.

    1) Install Suse 10.0 from DVD -> you'll get 1024x768. Halt suse and VM.
    2) Add custom resolutions, e.g. 1600x1200, to the VM options.
    3) Restart Suse.
    4) Start Yast and go to the "configure bootloader" configuration subprogram
    5) Within the subprogram, click on the current configuration and click "edit"
    6) in the next window, in the lower right, there is a drop-down box that offers
"VGA resolutions". Choose one you like, e.g. 1600x1200
    7) restart - voila, it works :)

    Cheers,
    Henrik

The emulation is VGA/SVGA so I would think if that is a valid resolution and your monitor can handle it then it should work. It works in Fedora just fine though I'm using 1280x960 with mine.

    Works for me

The above method works for me running Parallels on a MacBook at 1280x800, 16:10, 24-bit resolution.
