I've been using Parallels for a while and am generally happy with it, but one annoying thing I've run into is that the CTRL/SHIFT/ALT keys don't always work - it seems like the VM doesn't immediately detect they are down and I have to release the key and press it down again. This especially seems to happen if I've switched away to another OS X application and then back again (I notice it most often when cutting/pasting between a Windows session and native OS X application - when I switch back and hit CTRL+C, it replaces my text with "C" because the CTRL key wasn't "pressed" even though it is physically pressed). Anyone else seeing this issue? mark
I see the same issue. When I switch back to Parallels, I've now "trained" myself to automatically "bounce" the shift key, as this is the key I keep having the trouble with. Depressing this key once seems to get everthing resolved.
I also run in to this same issue quite often. I hadn't noticed it only happened when switching back and forth between parallels and other OS X applications, but some quick testing after reading this post indicates this is the problem... once one of these modifier keys has been press/released at least once after shifting back to parallels, everything seems to be working fine. Perhaps it is related to using Virtue Desktops to shift between screens? My key combo is Ctrl-Shift-Arrow Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
