Hi, Shared folders aren't visible from Win XP. Maybe it's something to do with the network? Sometimes "Entire network" isn't visible under Network Neighbouhood, sometimes it is. Can anyone help please? Thanks. Andrew
If you have installed Parallels Tools you should have installed also Parallels Shared Folders app. which should also have an alias on the desktop. There you should access shared folders from.
Thank you for the help. But unfortunetly.. when i install parallels tools there happens to be an error. My xp's screen turns black when installing the [whatever video driver] in parallels tools. What seems to be the problem?
It's hard to guess withouth your machine under my fingers. Is it XP SP2? Tolls installer is not immediate... it starts after a few seconds... just wait... I have no other ideas...
*WAIT* yea.. It's working! Thank you people! ohh and.. when moving the cursor in xp it happens to be slow (it really looks like it is low on fps).. any hope in making it better? Currently, it is hard for me to move the mouse around if I need accurate pointing. Or that is the consequences in using parallels..?
Hmm... I don't have a Parallels Tools alias/shortcut on my desktop (which one, XP or OX X?). Where can I install it from? Andrew
in OS X, in the VM menu item, Go to install Parallel tools - as a part of the process, you can elect to put the shared folder on the desktop.
Can't share either Hey guys I am having similar problems, when i go to my network places it is blank , there is no entire network option, where is this? Secondly what is parallel tools? is it automatically installed onthe mac par twhen you install the program or do I have to install this within windows intself, if so where do I get this program, its not under the downloads section?
With your VM running Windows, click on VM in the menu bar and then click on Install Parallels Tools in the drop down menu.
