I have a VM that runs all day from morning until evening.

Problem is that when I start the VM in the morning that the time/clock is then wrong. It has the time it was when the VM was closed the night before.

    Example:

I stop the VM at 22:30, next morning (9:00) the time within XP is still 22:30 and I have to manually set it to the correct time.

Is this a problem of Parallels or what can I do about this?

I assume the VM is a Microsoft OS. Microsoft OSs only read the hardware clock at startup. From then on they keep the time by counting interrupts from the timer. If you stop the VM, it stops counting. If it's XP go to the clock and select internet and force an update.

Is there no way that I can tell Parallels to set the clock when a VM is going out of suspend state?

You should install Parallels Tools and turn on Time Synchronization Tool in Parallels Tools Center.
