I have issues installing XP Pro.. my disc (xp installation cd) is not being read at all.
I will try to delete the VM and start again.

How do I delete a VM (virtual machine)?

I deleted the VM by deleted in the directory which held my .hdd file.
I think that was a good way to do it.
If there is a better way, someone please let me know.

Make sure the parallels window is active.
Look to the top menu bar.
    Click the VM menu option
    Click delete VM.
    Follow the wizard.

    Hope that helps.

I manually deleted my VM and now am unable to delete the VM within Parallels. If I select a VM with a missing HD image, I get some error message. There must be a config file somewhere that I can manually edit. ~/Library/Preferences and ~/.parallels_settings doesn'ts seem to do it.

    Hope someone can help. Thanks.

edit: got it. editing ~/.parallels_settings does work. For some reason, the first time I changed it didn't work.
