    Hi all,

I've only recently tried for the first time to install the VPN client in my virtual XP machine. Initially I installed v4.6 (as this is what my company uses) and it worked for the limited testing I did. I was able to establish a connection and connect to a few servers I use with no issues.

I then decided to install the OSX client to see if I could get that working. Again, it worked and I could connect, again accessing several network resources that I use often.

When I disconnected the OSX client, then again tried to connect from XP I could establish the VPN but not connect to any resources at the other side. I restarted both the virtual machine and OSX, no luck.

I then completely removed the OSX VPN client (using sudo to remove everything)... still no luck in XP. I also tried removing and reinstalling the XP client... no luck. I then removed and upgraded the XP client to 4.8... again no luck. Establishing the VPN works perfectly, but I can't connect to any remote resource. Even something as simple as a ping doesn't manage to resolve anything.

I'm not sure if this is a Parallels issue, and I'm not really an expert on VPN technology. Has anyone seen similar, or can anyone offer a suggestion?

Incidentally I have searched and read other threads on the forum regarding Cisco issues, but haven't managed to find anyone reporting this specific issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

    Almost forgot...

I'm running GA build 1848 of Parallels, and my Parallels Host-Guest Adapter is disabled. I'm using bridged networking via my MBP's wireless.

    Cheers,

    Tom

Try switching off the firewall in Windows and if that doesn't help, then also the OS X firewall.

Thanks - the firewalls in XP and OSX were both disabled. I've double-checked to be sure. Still no luck...
