Keyspan usb serial adapter not working. (resolved!)

    Hi,

I've loaded the windows driver and connected the keyspan 19Qi adapter. windows sees it but errors with a "Code 10. Driver cannot start" error. Has anyone gotten this device to work?

Mac Mini dual core, windows XP home. Parallels release version.

Addendum: Fixed! After installing the mac drivers and getting it going under OSX, it started working just fine under the windows VM. I had not installed the mac drivers initially, thinking that it would then be free to be soley connected to the VM.

I get this Code 10 also on a card reader. A little bit frustrating and it seems to be hit or miss as some users have it all working just fine. Oh well keep trying.

If you have a USB serial adapter (I have a Keyspan), you can try this:
    http://eudyptes.com/SerialClient.php

Thanks to Eudyptes for a great tool to make Parallels talk to serial devices!

Now if someone could tell me a trick to get it to work with my Apple USB modem so I could use it to dial from a Door Security app in Windows I'd be set!
