hmmm. Alternativley goto Start menu--> Acessories-->System tools-->Character Map. You should be able to copy one from there. i know its not ideal but until you get it sorted. I dont have IE 7. Are you able to use the @ symbol in other programs?

Of course, IE 7 is beta software, perhaps it has a bug concerning Norweigen keyboards. You could try another browser that is not Beta. I recommend Firefox

I did not mention any "add ons" . Are you referring to Internet Explorer Add Ons?. Character Map will definitely be where I said it was if you are running XP.
Click on the Start menu on the windows task bar. then click on "All Programs", then click on Accessories, then click on "System Tools", then it will be in that menu, it is the second item down in the menu on mine.

Another idea: Go to the Control Panel and select Regional and Language Options. Click the Languages tab and select Details. Ensure you have the correct language setting on your keyboard. You could also try setting it to an English US or English UK keyboard and seeing if that makes a difference. I run firefox and can type the '@' symbol fine in it, the only difference being that it is no longer Shift+2 to get an @ it is Shift+'. As if you were trying to type a "
