this may be a dumb question but when I start win xp in my osx. The window starts out small then as windows loads the window gets larger and I have no idea how to resize it.

I hope I am making sense.

Basically I am asking how do I resize the Parallels window?

Boot starts off 640x480. When Windows switches into graphics mode, it switches to whatever resolution it's set for. To change resolution, right click a blank area of the desktop (using your two button mouse -- you have one, right?), select properties, then the settings tab. Slide the slider left to make the window smaller (lower resolution). Click apply, then yes of you like what you see.

    .
If you don't have a proper mouse(small dig) then you can access it via the Display shortcut in Control Panel.

Somewhat OT, but using Windows without the use of right mouse button functionality is crippling. It's better to have the user get used to a certain method of initiating the right-click functionality rather than ignoring it altogether. Besides, Parallels does allow you to assign a key/click combo to simulate right-click if you don't have a two+ button mouse.
