Hi all - there's been some discussion that Solaris will hang if it is running on a host that goes to sleep. I understand that that doesn't work (and hopefully that the Parallels folks are working on resolving this). What I'm seeing is a more general case. Solaris will not properly resume (screen is totally locked up, not even a panic printout) if I do the following:

    1) Boot Solaris and log in
    2) Suspend the VM and quit Parallels
    3) Sleep the host
    4) Wake the host
    5) Start Parallels
    6) Resume the VM

Is this what other people experience? If so, that makes Solaris on Parallels fairly useless on laptops (the laptop being what I bought Parallels for!). I don't mean to knock Parallels -- it is great technology and I understand that there are just some bugs that need to be worked out.

What is your experience with this? Do these simple steps result in a hang? I'm interested in hearing both if you do have this problem, and of course especially if you don't as I'd like to work around this :)

For what it's worth, this is on a 1.8Ghz MacBook with 2GB of memory.
