Hello I downloaded a mdf-file....its an image-file you burn with alcohol120% or you can mount with an Virtual CD/DVD-ROM-EMULATOR like Daemon Tools. I found no way to open the file on my MBP with Mac OS X....so I tried to install Daemon Tools on Win XP within Parallels...but there are some problem with the SCSI/RAID-Hostcontroller...there occur error-messages during the installation process like: "Unable to add adapter. Device problem 12" or "SCSI/RAID-Hostcontroller couldn't be terminated. Try again later". My question: is it possible to burn CD's with a burning-software like Alcohol120% within Parallels?? Or much better: Is it possible to install a virtual CD/DVD-ROM-EMULATOR like Daemon Tools within Parallels to mount an image??? Thanx for help fishrain
I have not tried Daemon tools inside a VM yet, but I know CD burning from within a VM is not supported at this time... There was a post from a Parallels person a while back on this. (cant find link now... sorry).
If the image is one that, if burned to a CD, could be read with a CD reader, you can attach it directly to the VM and it will look like a CD. The manual has instructions.
