    Hi

When Windows launches, the console window resizes to a size that puts the whole bottom portion of the window (including thw Windows task bar) off the bottom of the screen (thus making it unusable) I've tried setting different screen resolutions in both OS X and Windows but no luck. Also tried to see if I could write an AppleScript to resize the window but Parallels isn't scriptable. Is there some way to resize the console window? The only way I'm able to see the Windows task bar is in full screen mode which is OK for some things but I'd also like the option to just use it in console mode too.

    Thanks

When others have had this problem, reducing the resolution in Windows solved it. You didn't mention your hardware, but on my MBP, 1024 x 768 works well. OSX resolution should normally be whatever your native screen resolution is since LCD screens work best that way. Make sure you disable Allow to change Mac screen resolution in Parallels preferences.

    Thanks Joem,

Parallels was set to "Allow to change Mac screen resolution" that must have been the problem. Works fine now.

You can also do the alt enter to change to full screen mode, and then adjust the screen size of the PC window through the control panel settings. I find that I have to do this when I run at 1680x1050 on a second monitor and then use parallels when I am not hooked up to a second monitor
