Parallels is very fast. But as a former Virtual PC user, I cannot help comparing the way parallels deals with CD-ROM's to Virtual PC. In Virtual PC, when you are done with a CD, you select "Eject" from a popup menu. The CD is disconnected and you insert a new one. The new one is automatically captured. Ahh, sweet.
But parallels: you have to hit ctrl-option to get into "Mac World," then go to the Devices menu or popup and select CD->disconnect, then wait for way too long until you are allowed to hit Eject in the Mac. Now you put the new CD in, and go to the menu and select Devices -> CD -> connect and you are back in business. That is very awkward. I hope there are plans to improve this, or maybe I'm making another dumb newbie mistake? I hope, I hope? :) Thanks

I have a shortcut on the XP desktop for the CD and I simply right click and select eject. You could open MyComputer and select the CD and right click and select eject.
    Works for me.:)

In Windows a right click -> Eject should dismount and eject the CD in the final release (1848).
